Classify sensitive data in Jupyter Notebook (IPYNB) files

It is now possible to classify sensitive data inside Jupyter Notebook (IPYNB) files, providing better visibility into high‑risk content such as credentials, secrets, and code. With this added coverage, users can more easily identify sensitive information hidden in notebooks and reduce risk of exposure.

Customize global access groups for automated remediation

Customers can now customize the list of global access groups (GAGs). Add or remove CIFS Active Directory groups to control which ones are remediated by the org‑wide exposure automation. This provides flexibility to include custom groups or exclude groups that shouldn’t be remediated, helping you align automated remediation with the organization’s data structure.

Automated response: Disable users and quarantine endpoints

Customers can now set up automated actions when a threat detection policy triggers an alert. Supported responses include quarantining endpoints via EDR (Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike) and disabling users, with exclusions to prevent operational disruptions.

Fully classify sensitive data in ChatGPT conversations

Varonis can now classify ChatGPT conversation text based on active data classification policies. This feature fully supports your custom classification settings, providing complete and accurate visibility into sensitive content generated in ChatGPT.

Use one Entra ID app to monitor all Azure Files storage accounts

Customers can now simplify setup and reduce overhead by using one Entra ID application to monitor all Azure Files storage accounts. This eliminates the need to manage separate apps for each account, streamlining onboarding, and making administration easier—especially in large environments.

Gain visibility into Netskope web proxy events

Customers Using REST API, Varonis can now integrate Netskope Secure Web Gateway , This allows web proxy events to be sent directly to Varonis for monitoring, providing more comprehensive visibility into user activity and strengthening security posture.

Secure VAST Data Sources

Varonis now supports VAST Data as a data source, extending visibility and protection to modern storage environments. This integration enables Varonis to monitor VAST data activity, directory structures, permissions, and events, while also supporting data discovery, classification and labeling for files that reside in the monitored data sources.

  • Real-time data discovery & classification
Varonis continuously discovers and classifies sensitive in Vast Data in real-time. Classification results are paired with permissions and activity to uncover overexposure and risk.
  • Native auditing enrichment
Varonis monitors SMB and NFS views to capture critical events like when a file was created and modified or when someone failed to access a file. This comprehensive audit trail aids investigations and streamlines compliance.
  • Automated prevention
Varonis maps complex permissions to show effective permissions and reveal exposed and at-risk data and automatically right-size access, fix misconfigurations, and reduce a customer’s blast radius.
