Agentic AI enhancements for Managed Data Detection & Response
Varonis introduced agentic AI to aid the efforts of our world-class experts.
Fueled by bad actors leveraging AI, security teams are facing a steep increase in phishing campaigns, brute-force attacks, and infiltration attempts. The only way to stay ahead is to fight AI with AI.
The addition of agentic AI is helping to enhance the efforts of our industry-leading Managed Data Detection and Response (MDDR) offering. We ensure that our experts have the right tools to protect your data at all times.
The new AI agents perform tasks such as correlating log data, associating IP addresses with known threat actors, and eliminating noise so our analysts can focus on more complex tasks. AI agents improve over time by actively learning from historical incidents and analyst feedback.

Box automated classification tagging
Varonis is extending its automated data classification tagging capabilities to Box. Leveraging Varonis’ industry-leading data classification capabilities, the integration enables you to create granular policies that automatically apply service tags to sensitive Box data.
You can apply your user-created Box classification tags based on data sensitivity or create your own custom tags, such as exposure tags. With Varonis, you can automatically enforce tagging policies, fix manual gaps, and re-tag files as your data changes to ensure downstream DLP controls are effective.

Notifications for stakeholders affected by automations
Security teams can now set up email notifications for internal users affected by automations. These notifications will be sent upon completion of the operation's actions. The emails can vary depending on the type of automation and will include a detailed list of the actions taken, along with a customizable explanation. Notifications can be directed to the data or group owner, as well as to users who will lose access to the data or groups due to the automation. This will help clarify why their access has been revoked.

M365 collaboration link widget enhancements
The “Collaboration Links by Type” widget on the SharePoint Online and OneDrive Dashboards provides a comprehensive view of risks associated with collaboration links and now includes a new “stale” category. With this addition to the widget, security teams can easily see how many stale links are present in their environment and their exposure levels at a glance.

Exchange Online org-wide exposure remediations
Varonis is expanding its industry-leading automated remediation and policy enforcement capabilities to Exchange Online (EXO). Now, security teams can use Varonis to enforce least privilege on EXO folders and minimize data risk by automatically identifying and removing the default org-wide group permissions, thus eliminating org-wide exposure. These automation policies can be tailored based on various factors such as sensitivity and staleness.
Enhanced M365 Collaboration link insights
Varonis now offers enhanced insights into collaboration links in M365, allowing security teams to gain deeper insights into link usage. Improve decision-making processes with the following additional insights:
- Created by - The name of the account that created the link
- Creation date - The date on which the link was created
- Expiration date - The date after which the link is no longer valid
- Password assigned - Indicates whether a password was assigned to this link
- Block download - Indicates whether this link blocks downloading its target resource
- Link URL - Copy and paste this URL into your browser to access the link to your resource
