We're unveiling a fresh set of updates designed to improve your data security posture management efforts this month at Varonis.

Our new functionality includes:

  • Public link remediation in Salesforce
  • Tenant-wide database management console
  • Kubernetes local collector for AWS and Azure

Discover what’s new for Varonis customers in this quick 2-minute video, or continue reading for all the exciting details.

Remediate public Salesforce links.

Our least privilege automation capabilities now extend to Salesforce, providing first-of-its-kind remediation capabilities that enable you to identify and remove public links in Salesforce continuously – all from a unified platform. Select specific links you want to remove or create a policy to automatically remove public links based on specified criteria, such as sensitivity and staleness.

Remove public links directly from the Varonis UI.

Along with identifying and removing public links, Varonis provides details for each link, including:

  • Who created the link
  • Whether the link has sensitive data
  • The last time the link was used
  • If it’s password-protected
  • If it has an expiration date
  • Its related records

Varonis also provides you with the ability to quickly surface which users can create public links, providing you with a report of every Profile and Permission Set containing the “create public link” entitlement and the individual users who can perform the action.

You can then use the results to identify where to restrict the ability to create public links.

Quickly find who can create public links in Salesforce.

Tenant-wide database management console

The new tenant-wide database management console provides you with an overview of every database instance that Varonis discovers across your environment. Quickly see key details such as the instance name, database type and version, if they are managed or unmanaged, and if Varonis is actively monitoring them.

Kubernetes local collector for AWS and Azure

Deploy a Varonis local collector in AWS and Azure Kubernetes containers to scan and classify sensitive data across your Azure and AWS resources. This helps reduce data transfer costs and enables compliance with data residency requirements.

Varonis extends DSPM coverage to Snowflake

In case you missed it from our January updates, the Varonis Data Security Platform now integrates with Snowflake’s data warehouse to provide enhanced visibility and data security for your critical Snowflake data and the underlying cloud infrastructure.

Our integration gives you the ability to:

  • Gain a centralized overview of your Snowflake security posture and where data is exposed through excessive access or critical misconfiguration.
  • Discover and classify sensitive data stored in your Snowflake data warehouse.
  • Identify where data has been published on the Snowflake marketplace or exported to public stages in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Detect and fix configuration drift to help maintain compliance and improve your Snowflake security posture.
  • Monitor activity to detect and investigate threats across Snowflake and your cloud environment.
