The Active Directory KPI reports will be based on the same report and template, DatAdvantage report 14h.
In the Reports section, browse to Category 14, “Trend Reports,” then expand report “h. Trends in Directory Service Statistics.” We want to start with a blank template, so expand the “Predefined” category, and click on report “01. Trends in Directory Service Statistics.”
In the report builder panel to the right, you will see a blank report template. There are two mandatory fields already populated. Depending on the scope of the report you may want to adjust the “Date” section, the default is 180 days. If you plan to run the report more frequently, reduce the look-back period (e.g. to 30 days) by changing the “Date” field.
Next, select the domain(s) to include in the report. Click on the down arrow next to the blank “Domains” box to bring up a browse menu. From the menu, place a check in the box next to the domain(s) you want to include.
From the top menu, click on the “Chart Data” tab. If there are any items populated in the right, click to highlight them, and select the left “<” arrow icon to remove them so we start with an empty template.
We now have a blank starting point for our Active Directory KPI templates.
